About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Lagos. The role involves preparing and analysing financial records, managing assets, and ensuring accurate reporting in line with standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records and financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain an asset register by appraising, evaluating and inventorying company assets.
- Record, reconcile and post petty cash and fuel imprest transactions.
- Reconcile payments and receipts, confirm customer deposits and issue receipts.
- Manage all accounting transactions, administer payrolls and control income and expenditure.
- Audit financial information and compile reports, budgets, business plans and financial statements.
Required profile
- HND or B.Sc degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Experience with accounting software (preferred).
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
