Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash management and ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements. This role reports to management and works closely with auditors and tax consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and perform bookkeeping.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and monitoring overdue balances.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Assist with tax filing and ensure statutory compliance.
• Support internal controls, audit preparation and fraud prevention.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Progress towards or possession of a professional qualification such as ICAN or ACCA (advantage).
• Strong numerical, analytical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.
