Accountant – Full‑time, Lagos

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Accountant to join our Lagos office. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statements, ensuring tax compliance and supporting strategic decision‑making through detailed reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial transactions and ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with Nigerian regulations.
• Develop and monitor budgets, analysing variances.
• Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Support audit processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage.
• Experience with budgeting, ledger management and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work accurately under pressure.
• Prior experience in the oil, gas or marine sector is a plus.

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).
