Accountant & Admin Manager

About the role

ZICS, a metal fabrication and furniture company in Ibadan, is seeking an experienced Accountant / Admin Manager to lead day‑to‑day financial and administrative operations. The role combines rigorous accounting duties with proactive administration, requiring autonomy and a "get it done" attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting, budgeting, and selected HR functions, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
• Oversee general ledger, monthly closings, account reconciliations, and preparation of internal and external financial reports.
• Process accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, depreciation and amortisation transactions.
• Lead the annual external audit, acting as primary liaison with auditors and preparing required schedules.
• Develop and deliver financial training, maintain standard and ad‑hoc reports, and support grant proposal development.
• Supervise staff benefits, PTO, health, dental and life insurance, and contribute to strategic business planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in fund accounting, cash‑flow management and handling of not‑for‑profit funds (a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage direct and indirect reports.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Fund accounting expertise.
• Experience with ERP or other accounting software.
• Knowledge of budgeting and online reporting tools.
• Familiarity with payroll systems.
