Volunteer SaaS Product Manager / Product Strategist

About the role

Nexplumb, an early‑stage tech startup modernising the plumbing industry, is looking for a volunteer SaaS Product Manager or Product Strategist. This unpaid position offers the chance to work directly with the founding team on a live product, gaining hands‑on experience and a verifiable contribution certificate.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in product discussions and decision‑making sessions.
• Translate vague ideas into structured, actionable product briefs, user stories, and feature specifications.
• Maintain and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall vision.
• Research the plumbing and trades‑tech landscape, map competitors, and inform strategic positioning.
• Challenge assumptions lacking clear rationale and defend recommendations with data‑driven arguments.

Required profile

• Proven product experience as a PM, PO, or strategist in a tech context (startup or established).
• Strong structured thinking and ability to document ideas, frameworks, and trade‑offs.
• Self‑directed and comfortable working without constant supervision.
• Quick learner with curiosity about the plumbing industry; domain expertise not required.
