State Coordinator – POS Operations

About the role

The State Coordinator will oversee all point‑of‑sale (POS) operations across Owerri, Imo State, ensuring smooth service delivery and driving network growth for Palmpay’s fintech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily POS transaction volumes, terminal uptime, and revenue performance.
• Recruit, onboard, train and manage POS agents, merchants and field officers within the state.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, KYC requirements and Nigerian regulatory guidelines (e.g., CBN).
• Handle escalations such as terminal downtime, failed transactions, settlement issues and customer complaints.
• Collaborate with technical, support and finance teams to resolve system issues and maintain accurate cash‑settlement and reconciliation.
• Develop and execute strategies to expand the agent network and increase market penetration.
• Prepare and submit regular performance, risk and operational reports to regional management.
• Enforce fraud‑prevention measures and report suspicious activities promptly.
• Represent Palmpay in engagements with local partners, merchants and government stakeholders as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating POS or payment‑service operations.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and KYC processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to lead and motivate field teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
