Senior Incident Response Consultant

About the role

As a Senior Incident Response Consultant you will join Mandiant’s elite cyber‑defense team to help organisations detect, contain, and remediate security incidents at scale. You will work remotely from Nigeria, collaborating with global clients and internal experts to deliver forensic investigations, threat hunting, and strategic guidance throughout the incident lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead small‑to‑medium incident response investigations and coordinate workstreams.
• Perform host, network, and log‑based forensics, including disk, memory, and cloud artefacts.
• Analyse malware, conduct triage, and produce actionable threat intelligence.
• Develop comprehensive client reports that synthesize forensic data, telemetry, and intelligence.
• Present technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including executives and legal counsel.
• Stay current on emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures used by nation‑state and financially motivated actors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of end‑to‑end incident response experience.
• At least 5 years of investigative work in network forensics, malware analysis, cloud forensics, or disk/memory forensics.
• 5 years of hands‑on Linux/Unix experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30 % of the time.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills, with the capacity to mentor junior consultants.
