About the role
As Sales Director you will lead commercial growth for Africa Access in Nigeria, focusing on profitable expansion, deepening existing client relationships and acquiring strategic new accounts within the country’s close‑knit international business community.
Key responsibilities
- Drive turnover and margin growth through a structured commercial plan.
- Identify and acquire new clients that align with long‑term value objectives.
- Build and leverage a strong network within Nigeria’s international business community.
- Lead negotiations and close complex logistics and trade‑finance deals.
- Manage and grow key accounts to ensure repeat business and high satisfaction.
- Align sales proposals with operations and finance from inception to implementation.
- Oversee the commercial administrative cycle, ensuring proper controls and timely payments.
- Monitor market developments and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Lead, motivate and develop the commercial team while promoting a “Company First” culture.
Required profile
- Proven experience in senior sales or commercial leadership roles, preferably in logistics, trade finance or related services.
- Strong network and reputation within Nigeria’s international business community.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that increase market share.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a track record of closing high‑value, complex deals.
- Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams (sales, operations, finance) to deliver solutions.
