Safety Officer – Fleet Operations

About the role

The Safety Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe operating environment for the company's truck fleet and its drivers. This role involves regular inspections, training, and incident investigation to ensure compliance with road and occupational safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the safety of company trucks and drivers.
• Conduct regular safety inspections on trucks and related operations.
• Deliver safety training and awareness sessions for drivers and relevant staff.
• Investigate accidents and safety incidents, preparing detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.
• Good knowledge of road safety, vehicle safety, and occupational health and safety practices.

Required skills

• Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections.
• Strong report‑writing skills for incident documentation.

• Competitive salary ranging from NGN 150,000 to NGN 250,000 per month.
