Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) for oil & gas operations in Lagos. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures compliance with client, legal and industry standards while fostering a proactive quality culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and enhance the QMS, integrating ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Prepare quality plans, inspection test plans and schedules to meet project requirements.
• Monitor, measure and review internal processes affecting product quality.
• Manage corrective and preventive actions, customer complaints and technical assistance.
• Lead QA audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and manage the QA department budget and annual plans.
• Support tender processes with proactive QA input and maintain client relationships.
• Deliver technical training to embed quality awareness across the organization.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering, Science or a related field.
• Membership of a relevant professional body.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IOSH, etc.).
• Minimum 12 years of QA experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial position.
• Strong administrative skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands‑on experience with QA Management Systems such as QMS ISO 9001, EMS ISO 14001.
