Property Systems Technician

About the role

The Property Systems Technician provides on‑site technical support for hotel IT infrastructure, ensuring guests and staff receive reliable service and that all hardware, software and network components operate smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Follow company policies, protect assets and address guest service needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer software, hardware, peripherals and internet access.
• Inspect, test, diagnose and maintain computer equipment, servers and network communications.
• Maintain inventory of technology devices and perform system backups.
• Manage user accounts, including creation, removal and password resets.
• Install, configure and modify workstations, laptops, docking stations and printers.
• Secure backup tapes and computer/telephone rooms and educate users on PII protection.
• Coordinate with vendors for major problems and keep detailed documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related IT support experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Computer hardware troubleshooting.
• Network support and basic networking concepts.
• Server maintenance and supporting software.
• System backup procedures.
• User account management (setup, removal, password reset).
• Workstation installation and configuration (cables, desktops, laptops, docking stations, printers).
• Inventory management of technology assets.
