Project Assistant (PxD/AVRR) – Temporary

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant to support the implementation and monitoring of voluntary return and reintegration (AVRR) interventions across Lagos, Abuja, Benin City and Kano. Working under the supervision of the Project Officer (PxD_AVRR) and the National Project Officer, the role contributes to the Migration Governance programme’s goal of sustainable reintegration for returnees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for AVRR projects, ensuring activities follow rights‑based approaches.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of reintegration interventions at state level.
• Help strengthen the capacity of local actors to deliver rehabilitation and reintegration services.
• Coordinate with other units within the PxD to ensure coherent project delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in project implementation or monitoring, preferably in migration or reintegration contexts.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned locations in Nigeria.
