PR Account Director – Senior Communications Lead

About the role

The PR Account Director will own the full budget and strategic direction for a portfolio of high‑profile clients, driving integrated communications that span corporate reputation, investor relations and consumer campaigns. This senior role requires decisive leadership, especially during crises, and the ability to influence C‑suite and board audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end client relationships, from retainer negotiation to crisis response.
• Develop and execute integrated communications programmes covering corporate reputation, financial and investor communications, stakeholder relations and consumer‑facing campaigns.
• Set and defend strategic recommendations directly with CEOs, CFOs and board members.
• Lead a small team of account managers and executives, ensuring delivery meets international standards.
• Act as crisis lead on live issues, making out‑of‑hours judgement calls.
• Partner with new‑business teams on pitches for global and multinational prospects.
• Guarantee that every client deliverable is market‑authentic and free of template thinking.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years in corporate, financial or critical infrastructure communications, either agency or in‑house.
• Proven experience managing client relationships at CEO/CFO/board level without senior oversight.
• Background in at least two sectors such as mining, energy, financial services, infrastructure, technology or consumer.
• Demonstrated crisis and issues‑management experience under real pressure.
• Excellent written English suitable for a global audience.
