Physics Teacher (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join Canon James Pearse Anglican College in Lagos. The successful candidate will deliver engaging physics lessons to our boarding school students, fostering a strong scientific foundation and supporting the school’s Christian values.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver physics lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Implement and adapt the school’s curriculum to meet learning objectives.
• Assess student performance, evaluate results and maintain accurate records.
• Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Mentor and support students academically and personally.
• Utilise teaching aids and laboratory equipment effectively.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to promote school values and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related discipline (or equivalent).
• TRCN registration is an advantage.
• At least two years of teaching or boarding-school experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Good character and willingness to work in a Christian missionary boarding environment.

Required skills

• Effective use of teaching aids and laboratory equipment.
