Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Ralsoeng Ventures is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician in Lagos (Marina) to support the licensed pharmacist in a retail pharmacy. The role covers dispensing, prescription processing, inventory management and customer assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the licensed pharmacist in dispensing and labelling prescribed and over-the-counter medications
• Receive, process and file prescriptions accurately, in line with regulatory and company standards
• Manage retail inventory: stock ordering, shelf arrangement, expiry date monitoring and stock reconciliation
• Assist customers with product selection, pricing and general information, referring clinical matters to the pharmacist
• Process sales transactions, insurance claims and basic billing where applicable
• Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, sales and controlled medicines
• Keep the pharmacy clean, organised and customer-friendly, and comply with health, safety, confidentiality and ethical standards
• Support routine audits, inspections and day-to-day operations

Required profile

• Certification or training as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant
• Prior retail pharmacy experience is an advantage
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required
• Professional conduct, honesty and respect for patient confidentiality

• Attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills
• Inventory management and basic computer literacy
• Familiarity with point-of-sale and pharmacy systems
