Packaging Inspection & Coding Officer

About the role

The Packaging Inspection and Coding Officer ensures optimal performance of inspection and coding processes on high‑speed packaging lines. Working within a safe, healthy environment, the role supports process control installations and maintains equipment to guarantee product quality and plant availability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspection and coding optimisation, including approved modifications of process control and electrical systems.
• Support the installation and commissioning of process control and related electrical equipment.
• Maintain, calibrate and repair packaging line equipment, ensuring optimal plant performance.
• Uphold safety, health and environmental standards, maintaining housekeeping and compliance with legislation.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Apply VPO (Value Process Optimisation) principles and practices.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent advanced certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• 3–4 years experience as a technician on high‑speed packaging lines.
• Completion of 3–6 months on‑the‑job training.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and strong analytical problem‑solving abilities.
