Mid-Level Ruby on Rails Engineer – Fintech On‑Ramp

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Ruby on Rails engineer to join Quidax’s RAMP team, the on‑ramp/off‑ramp product that enables users to move money in and out of crypto. You will work on core transaction flows such as deposits, withdrawals, partner integrations and reconciliation, taking ownership of features and improving system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Become familiar with the RAMP codebase and ship your first fix within the first month.
• Own specific features or end‑to‑end flows by month three, delivering new functionality with minimal supervision.
• Investigate and resolve reliability issues across deposits, withdrawals and partner callbacks independently by month six.
• Reduce recurring problems such as stuck transactions, failed callbacks and unclear states.
• Increase test coverage for critical flows and leave the code cleaner than you found it.
• Add observability – better logging, alerts and debugging hooks – where it is weak.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge and support fellow engineers.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of production‑grade Ruby on Rails backend experience.
• Strong attention to code quality, debugging patience and a user‑centric mindset.
• Comfortable designing APIs, background jobs, database schemas and automated tests.
• Methodical problem‑solver who can trace flows through logs to find root causes.
• Experience in fintech, payments or crypto is a plus.
