Logistics Officer – Corporate Sales

About the role

The Logistics Officer – Corporate Sales will oversee the monitoring, tracking and reporting of bulk cement dispatches to customer sites and during transit. The role ensures timely deliveries, prevents stock‑outs, and maximises the utilisation of bulk assets, supporting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Validate daily dispatch plans and optimise truck allocation, routing and delivery timelines.
• Monitor shipment progress, ensure adherence to schedules and resolve any delivery issues.
• Provide data to support coordination between corporate sales teams and transport units, and manage EPOD reporting for accurate invoicing.
• Track stock levels at customer sites using VMI, flagging potential shortages or over‑stock situations.
• Measure logistics performance KPIs such as order fulfilment rate, on‑time delivery, turnaround time and truck utilisation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly logistics reports and analyse data to recommend process improvements.
• Monitor logistics costs (fuel, haulage, demurrage) and support cost‑reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or sales operations, preferably within cement or building‑materials distribution.
• Proven experience handling bulk deliveries, project logistics or industrial distribution.
