LGA Data Officer – Immunization Project

About the role

The LGA Data Officer will support Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) in implementing an 18‑month GAVI‑supported routine immunization and primary health care integration project across 11 priority Local Government Areas in Kaduna State. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality immunization data collection, validation, analysis and timely reporting to drive evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, collate and validate immunization and project‑related data from health facilities, wards and community outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate databases and reporting records, ensuring alignment between source documents, registers, summary forms and electronic systems.
• Conduct data verification, consistency checks and support Data Quality Assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Provide technical support for DHIS2 and other health information systems, troubleshoot reporting issues and monitor key immunization indicators.
• Generate performance summaries and reports for decision‑making and support review meetings to identify gaps and low‑performing areas.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in health data management and reporting.
• Familiarity with national health information standards and donor reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve data discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with CBOs, health facilities and project teams.
