Legal Officer – Corporate & Regulatory Law

About the role

LifeBank is seeking a Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal and regulatory support across its operations in Nigeria. The role involves ensuring compliance with applicable laws, drafting and negotiating contracts, and advising internal teams on a range of legal matters in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on operational, commercial, employment, and regulatory issues.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise management on potential impacts.
• Support corporate governance, regulatory filings, and compliance initiatives.
• Assist in managing legal risks, dispute resolution, and liaison with external counsel.
• Maintain accurate records of legal agreements and company filings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare reports, memos, and opinions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and Barrister‑at‑Law (B.L.) qualification to practice in Nigeria.
• 2–4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate/commercial law, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
• Experience in healthcare, technology, logistics, or related sectors is an advantage.
