Kitchen Assistant

About the role

WestMetro Limited is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join its on‑site catering team in Lekki, Lagos. This full‑time position supports daily food preparation, maintains hygiene standards, and assists the kitchen staff in delivering quality meals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and cooking under supervision.
• Ensure all work areas meet strict hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Support food and beverage operations, including stocking and inventory checks.
• Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and work surfaces.
• Provide occasional basic customer service to staff and patrons as required.

Required profile

• Proficiency in food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
• Good knowledge of hygiene practices and ability to maintain a clean workspace.
• Understanding of food & beverage operations.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment is a plus.
