Inventory & Procurement Officer

About the role

Miri Africa is looking for an Inventory & Procurement Officer to keep the production line for Miri Air devices running smoothly. You will work closely with the Engineering, Production and Finance teams to optimise stock levels, negotiate cost-effective purchases and minimise wastage.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, production components, finished goods and company supplies.
• Monitor stock levels, carry out physical stock counts, reconcile discrepancies and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Source reliable suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate prices and prepare purchase orders for approval.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials needed for Miri Air device production.
• Track material usage, production output, wastage and transfers of finished goods.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production and Finance teams to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain procurement documentation such as purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes and goods received records.
• Prepare periodic inventory and procurement reports and support inventory valuation and cost-of-production calculations.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with company procurement and inventory procedures.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years' relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing or technology.
• Strong organisational, numerical, negotiation and record-keeping skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and cost consciousness.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with inventory management systems
