Home Tutor for Nursery 2 – Katampe, Abuja

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home tutor to support a Nursery 2 child in Katampe, Abuja. The tutor will focus on building a solid foundation in mathematics, phonics, reading, and handwriting using the Nigerian curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1‑hour tutoring sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4:00 PM at the client’s home.
• Prepare and follow lesson plans that cover literacy, numeracy, phonics and handwriting improvement.
• Motivate the child and create an engaging learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the parent.
• Adapt teaching methods to the child’s learning needs.

Required profile

• Experience teaching early childhood (Nursery 2) students.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian early‑education curriculum.
• Patience, reliability and ability to work independently at the client’s location.
• Flexible schedule to meet the specified days and time.

Required skills

• Knowledge of literacy and numeracy teaching techniques.
• Ability to teach phonics and improve handwriting.
• Basic classroom management and motivational strategies.
