Health Manager (P-4) – Fixed Term – Abuja, Nigeria

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Health Manager (P-4) on a fixed‑term appointment to lead the Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) portfolio in Nigeria. The role reports to the Chief of Health and HIV and provides technical and operational guidance to achieve sustainable health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Chief of Health and HIV in managing the MNCAH portfolio.
• Lead implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of MNCAH outputs.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the programming cycle.
• Deliver advisory services and technical support to programme teams.
• Advocate, network and build partnerships to strengthen health interventions.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in public health, pediatric health, obstetrics and gynaecology, family health, epidemiology, biostatistics or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in public health, maternal‑neonatal‑child‑adolescent health or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience in programme development, results‑based management and reporting.
