About the role
The Group Housing Coordinator supports the sales and marketing team at the Lagos Marriott Hotel by maintaining information boards, assisting employees with performance challenges, and ensuring smooth communication with guests and internal departments.
Key responsibilities
- Update employee information boards regularly with important events and announcements.
- Provide guidance to staff struggling with sales targets and assign lead calls or emails to Sales Executives.
- Create and manage spreadsheets for sales and marketing activities such as mailing lists and tour schedules.
- Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify sales‑related data in the company’s software systems.
- Resolve guest calls, requests, or problems by coordinating with the appropriate department.
- Promote Marriott’s brand image internally and externally and use up‑selling techniques to maximize revenue.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and ensure compliance with company policies and appearance standards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related work experience, preferably in hospitality or sales support.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
Required skills
- Proficiency in creating and managing spreadsheets.
