Graphics Communication Assistant

About the role

The Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) is seeking a creative Communication Assistant (Graphics) to support its projects across Nigeria. Based in Akwa Ibom, you will turn complex data into clear visual stories that enhance the organisation’s outreach and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop infographics and visual representations from supplied data to convey core messages.
• Produce high‑quality photographs, videos, charts and branding assets for project documents.
• Design IEC and visibility materials, respecting typography, iconography, layout and brand identity.
• Create graphic layouts for research, monitoring & evaluation reports and other printed communications.
• Assist in organising internal and external meetings and manage multimedia assets.
• Document lessons learned and success stories.
• Support the communications officer and media partners in creating social‑media content.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Layout, Document Development or Multimedia Production.
• Strong ability to interpret and synthesize information into creative visual formats.
• Excellent data‑visualisation and infographic design skills.
• Proficiency with design software packages and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
• Preferred experience in photography and video editing.
• Experience working with international development agencies is an asset.
• Team player with solid organisational, time‑management and English communication skills.
