FP&A Senior Associate – Cards Stream

About the role

We are looking for an experienced FP&A Senior Associate to join our Cards Stream team in Lagos. The role will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis for our credit and debit card products, providing data‑driven insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Build, validate and maintain financial models for credit and debit cards, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts that reflect changing business conditions.
• Analyse variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts, delivering actionable recommendations.
• Partner with product and department heads to optimise profitability, track performance against targets and support strategic initiatives such as pricing and cost optimisation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and conduct profitability analysis by business unit, product line or region.
• Support M&A due diligence and integration activities when required.
• Improve financial planning processes through automation, using SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to enhance reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in card financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence decision‑making.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (financial modelling, data analysis).
• SQL query writing.
• Power BI and Tableau for data visualisation.
• PowerPoint for presentation of financial insights.
