Engineering Manager, Core APIs

About the role

This is a senior engineering leadership position focused on building and scaling high‑performance API platforms that power fraud‑prevention solutions. You will operate in a fully remote, fast‑paced SaaS environment, guiding a talented team to deliver reliable, developer‑centric services used worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers responsible for core API services and platform infrastructure.
• Provide technical direction on architecture, scalability, performance optimization, and cloud‑native development.
• Collaborate with product managers, senior engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver robust API‑first solutions.
• Foster engineering excellence through code reviews, coaching, and continuous learning initiatives.
• Drive agile development processes and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality software.
• Manage performance, career development, and knowledge‑sharing within the team.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience managing software engineering teams in agile environments.
• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or cloud‑based platforms.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable software solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a growth‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
