Data Entry Operator

About the role

INTERSOS is seeking a Data Entry Operator to support medical data collection and entry for its mission in Nigeria. The role focuses on recording clinical and demographic information accurately, maintaining confidentiality, and providing reliable data for the medical team’s decision‑making processes.

Key responsibilities

• Enter patient data, visit dates, prescriptions, viral loads, and other clinical information into the mission database following INTERSOS protocols.
• Verify that all entered data are authorized and supported by appropriate documentation such as patient records.
• Perform quality‑control checks, identify and correct data entry errors, and report any anomalies to supervisors.
• Participate in compiling data from INTERSOS structures and partner health facilities, and assist in locating missing information.
• Update existing patient files, make regular backups, and ensure equipment and work area are kept clean and organized.
• Generate statistical reports for the medical team when required and uphold strict confidentiality of all information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL).
• Minimum 2 years of data‑management experience in an NGO setting; health data management experience is an asset.
• Strong results orientation, teamwork, flexibility, and commitment to INTERSOS principles.
• Proficiency in the local language; knowledge of the mission language is desirable.
