Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive growth by identifying new clients, partners and opportunities for our retail, fashion and FMCG business in Lagos and beyond. You will work closely with senior executives to build relationships and secure partnerships that meet revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential clients, partners and business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, partners and stakeholders.
• Represent the company at meetings, events and presentations to executives and potential partners.
• Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements and oversee onboarding of new partners.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and partnership targets.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing insights to the executive team.
• Prepare weekly reports on activities, pipeline and results.
• Provide follow‑up and support to existing and new partners.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in business development, sales or partnership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and results‑oriented.
• Professional appearance and confidence presenting to executives.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using CRM tools.
