Business Development Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Officer to drive growth and expand market presence for Softseer Ltd, a technology firm based in Lagos. The role involves identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and leading a small team to meet revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
• Lead and manage the business development team to achieve targets and objectives.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing clients.
• Drive revenue growth by designing and implementing scalable business processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client needs are met efficiently.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field (MBA a plus).
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in business development, sales or strategic partnerships.
• Strong leadership ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain strategic relationships.
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
